Computer games are primarily communication tool rather than a psychological dependence.

Such results were showed by Leipzig University studies. It turns out that for most gamers games are important means of communication, and computer games in general are one of the favorite pastimes of youth.

By the way the first game for the PC appeared over 50 years ago and it was a game called a Pong - "Tennis for Two", you should have two people to play it so it already was a team game.

Today you can choose from unrealistically large amount of games and everyone will find something appropriate. The most people choose games with multiplayer – it’s about 80% of players. These figures also were shown by studies of European university.

Their peculiarity lies in the fact that they simultaneously in virtual reality can take part to several thousand players. By the way, often on the basis of a network game arise groups and guilds, whose members meet regularly in network and play together. The World of Warcraft is one of the most popular games today, over 10 million people from different places of world play it. From other side hundreds of artists, musicians and other creative professionals are financed by this game.

The psychological dependence appears in no more than 10% of persons who uses internet and online games and as a rule it happens in school age, but almost 80% of users regularly meets with friends in multiplayer games, and 48 percent give birth to new acquaintances while they are "online".

So today computer games are an excellent tool for communication. And it is dialogue on interests, which is much more important for the amusement and personal development than a strained conversation with people who are boring for you.

From ourself the MyTeamVoice team wants to add that you can achieve a greater return from communication in games in case you are using group voice chats. For professional players, this has become an integral part of the game, so why amateurs cannot use professional group communication?
