Selfie in MMO games? World of Warcraft was first who has started talking about it!

How does this work? To take a picture you have to click on the camera and it will immediately focuses on the face of the character and will make a photo. Now developers are just working on this feature and they promise to add the camera to the game.

People who took part in the test drive of upgrade 6.1 version of game already tested this new function. They were offered to make a selfie as a reward for completing the Garrison Mission Field Photography and it’s for players of level 100.

By the way you can change the angle of shooting and at the sight of the camera your character will start to take different facial expressions, well just like in real life. Popular among selfie fans duckface is one of the options. Your selfie can be improved with using the bonus mission, the camera will be upgraded by the filters for image processing, they are very similar as in Instagram.

New games are trying to be in trend and bring all that we have in the real world to the virtual so new features such as the "selfie" in the game will soon be completely normal, such as socializing with friends simply by voice.

Who are best game developers: girls or boys?

Who could have thought ... but recently scientists (of course the British scientists) have proved that girls are better in computer games development than boys are. Team of researchers from the UK managed to dispel stereotypes that boys are the best gamers and developers of games. Recent studies of Sussex University showed that women are able to write more complex scenarios and makes it almost 2 times faster.

Such experiments have been conducted due to the poor performance of girls in subjects related to computer science. According to statistics only 17 percent of British women have higher education in specialties related to computers. High school students, which were 12 - 13 years old, were attended in the experiment for 64 days. Their task was to create a simple 3d game.

Girls’ results exceeded results of boys by almost two times. The scientists also noted that representatives of girls have tried to create more complex scenarios as opposed to boys.

OK, they can do it better, but may be they do not want to do games in real life or someone creates restrictions to them? The scientists have not answered these questions yet. So the next time when girls join your team, please do not hurry to blame her, you should give her the opportunity to show themselves, perhaps your team's success will depend exactly on them ;)

Sweet expectations for 2015

We always look forward to the coming year hoping to get something better than we have in current one. Judging by the efforts of game developers, the year 2015 is really worth waiting for. Here is what takes our breath away:

Grand Theft Auto V – Action

It has spent much time on consoles and finally reaching a PCs. To cheer up tired of waiting players we can say that the game will end up in their hands in a rather refined state. All bugs and drawbacks were tested on console users and being taken care of by developers. In addition, new cars and weapons, as well as new missions are waiting for you as a nice bonus.
Developers swear it will come out not later than the 27th of January 2015.

Evolve – Action / Shooter, Simulator.

Together with your militant friends you will be able to chase and shoot a ferocious beast that grows bigger stronger and angrier. It seems that the team of developers (creators of Left 4 Dead) are pretty tired of herds of stupid zombies, so they decided to create an epic cunning monster able to easily face valiant warriors.

It is set to come out on the 10th of February 2015.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - RPG

The Poles have come up to the final part of the trilogy about The Witcher. In this part of the game developers promise an absolute freedom of action (within permissible limits) and even a little more: exploration of a big open world, some alchemy, various artifacts, and of course weapon creation.
Treacherous developers have given a new release date, the one of the 24th of Fabruary, 2015, will see…

DooM 4 - Shooter

According to developers Doom was stuck in hell. Hell of development process of course, and nobody was expecting its release. There is no Carmack behind their backs to support them anymore, so the result is quite uncertain. They promise a new engine id Tech 6, all series rethought and a multiplayer in addition.
We will see what it gives in 2015.

Overwatch - Shooter

A dark horse from Blizzard. The game is pretty like a Team Fortress and clearly stands out from the familiar games (WoW and Diablo) made by the developers. It seems that they have some aces up their sleeves and are preparing to set a new standard for the genre.
Blizzard as always, will indefinitely polish the game (at least they gave a beta version) so there is no information about the release date.

Battlefield: Hardline - Shooter

Cops against bandits... We are not used to see Battlefield like that, bigger than CS, less than GTA, but as epic as Battlefield itself. Together with friends we will rob banks, rescue hostages and chase each other around the city. The game should turn out fast and breathtaking.
We are waiting for its release on the 17th of March, 2015.

Mortal Kombat X - Fighting

Two generations grew up playing various kinds of this deadly clash and now Mortal Kombat X is on its way. In addition to the old characters there will be a lot of brand new ones, as many as 24 in fact. Also, each participant of the deadly combat will have 3 modes providing a whole new experience. In addition to that developers included some modern tricks like an interactive environment and a scale, making a super combo possible.
We will play old ones by the end of the winter 2015.
